Marlins Coaches
**Head Coach Matthew Dietrich**
Coach Matt is back! After a fantastic first season, Matt is thrilled to return as Head Coach of the Middlebridge Marlins. He can’t wait to be back on deck and catch up with all the swimmers and families. Matt has more than a decade of competitive swim experience. Before joining the Marlins, he spent 13 years with the Hillandale Hellcats, where he still holds team and pool records. He also swam for four years at Springbrook High School and six years at Rockville Montgomery Swim Club (RMSC). Most recently, Matt has spent the past year as Assistant Coach at All-Star Aquatics, working with the 10 & under age group, and coaching Rising Stars, a weekly pre-competitive program for 5-9 year olds.
One of the coolest things about Matt is how much swimming has meant to him over the years. He has amazing memories from the countless hours spent in the water and the invaluable mentorship he received from his coaches. Grateful for their guidance, he’s committed to keeping swimming a big part of his life. Matt is super excited to share his passion and knowledge with the next generation of swimmers, eager to inspire them just like he was inspired. He is looking forward to helping every Marlin find their own love for the sport.
Matt is available for one-on-one private lessons to help swimmers reach their personal goals.

**Assistant Coach Savannah Woolard**
We are so excited to have Savi back as our Assistant Coach!
Savi just finished her first year at Dickinson College and she is working towards earning a degree in History. She is a part of the ROTC program on campus and is excited to continue her Army career after graduating in 2028. She graduated from St. John’s College High School in D.C. last spring. During her 4 years there, Savi swam for the Varsity swim team, was a member of the theatre and choir department, and was a Cadet in the school’s Cadet Corps program, learning vital teamwork and leadership skills in all areas of her high school experience.
The Marlins has been a part of Savi’s life for as long as she could remember. She joined as a Mini Marlin with her mom as team rep and her brother being a swimmer as well. Being a Marlin was the best part of every summer and she made so many friends and memories throughout the years because of this team. Savi’s had many coaches over the years that have mentored her and made her into the swimmer that she is today. With one summer of assistant coaching under her belt, Savi cannot wait to help the Marlins again.
Savi is also available for private lessons.
