Hi Parents,

We have a jam-packed week of events coming up before the season ends. A lot of updates and reminders for our final week

1. This is our last week of practice.

2. Divisionals are this Sunday 7/21, please RSVP your swimmers via Swimtopia if you haven't done so. Coach Sebastian needs to send our lineup to automation tomorrow morning.

3. Our end-of-season banquet is this Saturday 7/20 at 6pm at the Middlebridge Pool. We would like to celebrate the end of the season with the whole team! That means minis too!! (The coaches and older kids have worked very hard making paper plate awards for all our swimmers!) The cost per person is $15 (we are using some of our fundraising money to offset the cost) and free for kids 6 and under. The cost will cover dinner, dessert, and drinks. Please RSVP here and send payment to our treasurer Jay Taylor via Venmo @Jay-E-Taylor or Zelle 301-343-9248 if you haven't done so.

3. In lieu of a sleepover, there will be a team late-over (basically, late night without the sleepover part) movie night on Thursday 7/18. Justin and Cathy have graciously offered to host the event. The set up will be in their backyard and swimmers should bring blankets and/or chairs for the outdoor movie viewing. Justin and Cathy will provide the popcorn (from their popcorn machine!) along with a variety of movie candies. Susan and Wills have offered their projector and screen for movie night (big thank you!). We thought it would be a good idea to ask each family to send $10 (or more, if they’d like) towards dinner/snacks/drinks. You can venmo me at @SoapEm or send cash. 4. The kids will have their last fun practice this Friday July 19 at 8am. Afterwards (~8:45am), they will walk with coaches (or drive) to our house at 1840 Middlebridge Drive where we will host the potluck breakfast. The last breakfast is usually more food with the help of the parents. Parents and siblings are invited! Please use the sign up genius to bring a food item here. Parents please drop off food by 9 am the latest. If you are free, please come help set up at 8:30.

5. Our last pep rally is this Friday July 19 at 6pm. Please sign up to bring a food item via swimtopia.

6. We still need help making Divisionals signs for swimmers who qualified. If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to Sara Taylor via email [email protected] or text (202) 590-2566.

Let’s make the most of this last week and finish the season strong. It’s been an amazing journey and we can’t wait to celebrate all our hard work and achievements together!
