Certified Volunteer Positions
Hi Marlins Parents!
I hope you’re all doing well! As we get ready for the upcoming season, here’s a reminder about something that’s super important for our team: getting certified.
Having a mix of certified parents is really key for us. It helps us meet the requirements for hosting swim meets and allows us to share the responsibilities, so no one person has to do everything at every meet. The more certified folks we have, the easier it will be for everyone! We need people for stroke and turn, starters, referees. If you have any questions on any of the positions, let me know and we will put you in touch with others who are currently certified!
And here’s the best part—getting certified is free and many of the courses can be done online! This is a great way to help out while you’re already there cheering on your kids at the meets. You can volunteer without missing a moment of their races!
For more info on the certification process and what positions are available, check out this link: LINK TO CLASSES. The first one is as early as May 19 and run into June, before the first meet.
Please see message from MCSL below:
Clinics for deck positions (stroke and turn, starter, and referee) are starting on May 20 and continue through June 11. We are teaching 30 clinics this year. Make sure your officials sign up for the appropriate clinics. We will not offer additional clinics - it is the responsibility of each team and official to make sure they obtain the required training prior to the start of the season. The automation clinic will be presented on Monday, June 2 at 7:00 p.m. Automation volunteers can also view the video from last year as well as some outstanding training videos via the MCSL website.
Thanks so much for considering this! Your support means the world to our team, and together, we can make this season fantastic for our swimmers!
See you at the pool, Soap,
