Week 1: Middlebridge at Tanglewood (June 14, 2025)

Hi Parents,

Please see message from Tanglewood Reps below. Please plan to arrive on time, no later than 8am tomorrow. We are looking forward to seeing as many people as possible for the pep rally tonight. Reminder to check SwimTopia for updates in cases it rains/storms. Let me know if you have any questions. Happy Friday!

Location/Parking: We should have ample parking for everyone in our pool parking lot and you may park on the street near the pool as well (there are a few areas on the street that say "no parking," but the signs are clearly posted). If you have anyone who will need a handicap parking space, please let us know so that we can have one reserved for any family requiring one.

Tanglewood Pool is located at: 2922 Schubert Drive, Silver Spring, MD 20904 (We are really close to the ICC and Rt. 29)

Concessions: We will have a small concessions stand (with mainly snacks and drinks) as well as complimentary drinks and snacks for the officials.

Team Areas: Middlebridge will be on the upper deck. There are picnic tables on the upper deck; however, there is no shade, so please feel free to bring canopies and chairs. We will bring our team canopy. Tanglewood will be in the baby pool area, but we try to keep all swimmers out of the baby pool during the meet.

Proposed Meet Schedule:

8:00-8:20 am Tanglewood Warm-Up

8:20-8:40 am Twinbrook Warm-Up

8:30 am Referee/Officials Meeting (behind the slide)

8:40 am Timers Meeting (by the starter)

8:45 am Scratch Meeting (behind the slide), including coaches, reps, clerks, referee, automation, announcer

8:50 am Timer test with starter

8:55 am Everyone in position (officials, timers, swimmers), National Anthem

9:00 am Meet begins
