Good Afternoon Marlin Parents!

The following information is for our new Marlin families who are unfamiliar with Time Trials or returning Marlins parents who may need a refresher.

Time trials is a meet at which swimmers swim every stroke (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and/or butterfly) that they are able to swim. This will give the coaches a baseline (or seed) time for your swimmer in each stroke. This meet is for MARLINS ONLY. Mini’s are welcome to come support but cannot participate!

As all returning Marlins parents know (and new parents will find out), it takes a tremendous number of volunteers to put on a swim meet. Meets are 100% organized and run by volunteers from both the host team and visiting team.

Time trials require more volunteers as there is no opposing team to share the workload. Time Trials is a great time to try new volunteer roles and to meet other Marlins parents.

Many volunteer positions require little to no experience (i.e. timers, runners, assist with concessions, and help set up or clean up). If you are interested in volunteering and learning one of the jobs or certified positions, you can always shadow someone who knows it!

Below are instructions on how to sign up your swimmer(s).

How to Sign a Swimmer Up for a Meet

• Click the Green 'MEET ENTRY' Button
• Click the 'Edit' Button under your swimmer's name

• Time Trials and Meets:
  • For EACH of your swimmers, select an option from the drop down list next to their names:
    • (undeclared)
    • Not attending this meet
    • Attending this meet
  • Check the boxes to select the events your swimmer wishes to swim from the list provided
  • Click on the 'SAVE' button to record your choices
